UV400 means the lenses block all ultraviolet light up to 400 nanometres — covering both UVA and UVB rays. This is the highest level of UV protection available and meets EU and UK optical safety standards. Long-term UV exposure without protection can contribute to eye conditions such as cataracts, so full UV400 coverage matters.

The result is a noticeably clearer, more comfortable view in bright conditions. Non-polarised lenses still reduce brightness, but they do not eliminate glare in the same way.
