Corduroy with a woven, gently wavy texture instead of ordinary ribs. There is no collar, just a low, rounded band at the neck, a button front and two large patch pockets.
The shoulders are dropped and the fit is roomy, with a straight hem that falls just past the hip. It is a light jacket, so a shirt or thin jumper fits easily underneath. Take your usual size, or one size down for a closer fit.
